Whilst watching the film adaptation of the book ‘Eat, Pray, Love’ on a quiet boxing day afternoon… I have watched it twice in the last two months and along with ‘It’s a Wonderful Life’ is one of my favourite films :-)…I heard something that spoke to my heart.
It tells of a woman recently divorced who has a strong desire to ‘find herself’ and takes a year out to travel to Italy..to Eat…India…to pray…Bali..yes you’ve guessed, she found the love of her life, her true soulmate…ahhhhhh!! Bliss. It wasn’t an emotionally comfortable journey for her; learning a good deal about herself and a dawning realisation that she was afraid to love again following a painful divorce. A true story of a spiritually brave woman, who asked ‘God’ for help and then followed her heart and found the love of her life.
Listening to the credits, I heard the words of a wonderful song, which I confess, I can’t recall hearing at the first veiwing! I googled youtube to see if I could find the lyrics and here they are, quite appropriate I feel, for this time of year…A new begining for 21/12/12…a new beginning for 2013…a new begining each day
