The Art of Blessing

I was reminded today by a beautiful colleague of the importance of ‘blessing’ and coincidently why for some time I end my emails to clients with a wish for endless blessings for them.

I had read Pierre Pradervand’s beautiful book, ‘The Art Of Blessing” soon after it’s publication and made the decision then to practise the ‘Gentle art of Blessing’ as often as I could remember throughout the day, sending a silent blessing to those I felt drawn to do so, whilst walking through the town or passing people on the hills during a daily walk. I practise this each time I send an email, signing the email with ‘endless blessings’  to those I am writing to and sometimes ‘smiley blessings’ to loved ones.  As it became second nature I had ‘forgotten’ the reason I was doing this! until I was reminded today.. It had become second nature. The sentiments behind the gesture were from a desire to see that all are blessed with the love and peace we wish to experience in our lives. My beautiful colleague also reminded me of the importance of blessing our self, our own being, our own life, our own health 🙂
